We conducted a new survey on the relationship between the Uyghur forced labour and 35 Japanese companies and six Chinese companies operating in Japan. As a result, it has been confirmed that 30 Japanese companies and four Chinese companies are somehow involved in the Uyghur forced labour. This represents 83% of the companies surveyed, suggesting that a very high proportion of Japan’s markets and supply chains are contributing to serious human rights violations, and measures are urgently needed.
